DRAMATICALLY IMPROVE EFFICIENCY WITH TWO-WAY RADIOS

The old axiom, “Time is money.” is as true today as when first coined. For those offices with several operatories and multiple team members, walking between areas of the office to communicate can be a serious time consumer. Consider a solution many dental offices use: the Blue Star BR777 Portable Business Two-Way Radio with a choice of hands-free voice activation. Small yet powerful, these radios allow instant, discreet professional communication between team members. Surveys have shown that use of two-way radios can allow the scheduling of an additional patient per operatory per day. That’s a significant increase in efficiency and, therefore, in income. BUDGET REALISTICALLY

Base your practice budget on real dollars. Another way to express that thought: financial planning for your practice should be based on collections, not production. Production for a given day, week or month may be significant, but it must be reduced by fees that cannot be collected, professional courtesy write offs, uncollectable insurance payment write offs, state-scheduled fees allowed on welfare patients, failed treatment that must be delivered a second time, etc. Plan your practice finances using dollars-in-hand rather than dollars charged. This year’s expenses should be planned based on last year’s collections.
